The Final Project

The time is flying. Just remember when the semester started but I already have to do a final project for my English Class. Two weeks left till the end of study and the topic for my final project is a priority question for now. I glanced at our study schedule to get some idea of what to write about but I´m in doubt. I have tow topics for consideration. On one hand is "Gestures as the form of communication" and on other hand is "Haiku - the Japanese art of poetry". These are both interesting if to investigate further. I reckon I will go for gestures rather then Haiku as I´m not a poetry person though it might be interesting. Looking throughout the Web I came across many cognitive stuff about gestures as the form of communication. Well, every time we speak, listen to some one or do something else we unconsciously using gestures. To be more specific I will try to bring the idea of the gestures' evolution or the modern life gestures. But I´m sure I will find something interesting and perhaps change my topic many times... HOPE NOT THOUGH!!!

Here are some sources that will do some job for doing a project: http://www.languagetrainers.co.uk/blog/2007/09/24/top-10-hand-gestures shows some common gestures .. haha)). Anyway Wikipedia is a good starting point and I will definitely look there first.
For now I will make a pause in my superhard research (haha.. joke). More updated info will come later :)

Facebook Survey

Our next and most likely the last assignment for this semester is to create a survey about the interacting via facebook and e-mails or just a social network in general. My first idea was to create a survey on facebook and sent it to my friends but it didn't work how I planned. I created a group and invited some people to join and take a survey but the problem appeared when they started to answer the questions. My original FIRST message with the questions started to appear under the answers. By the matter of facts they would definitely move to the next page leaving visitors without the actual questions.
My second idea was a bit better and more successful. I post my survey on the www.er.is where many people had an open access to it. I got 13 responds in addition to 5 responds on facebook. So totally 17 which is not bad.
What I´m gonna do next is writing a report about this survey and make a summation of my results. The goal is to see how the people use facebook and what for.
The report will be ready in couple days ........hopefully :))
